Fish hook in the eye
Whether you believe it or not, this is something that happens quite a lot. People go fishing all year round so this is not something that just happens in the summer. Sometimes the fish let go of the hook and it can shoot out of the water and get stuck in your eye. Other times a friend or family member can be fishing with you can go to cast and the hook gets caught in your eye in the process.
Fish hooks are made with barbs on them. The barbs are near the tip and help to prevent the fish from getting away once they get on the hook. It is a great idea that has worked for years but it is no fun if it catches you. If you get a hook in your eye you do not need to try and take it out yourself.
The barb could tear your eye worse and cause a lot of damage. The best thing you can do is to cut the fishing line and rush to the doctor. The doctors will have the tools to remove it safely without causing more damage.
