Optic Neuritis - Causes, Risks and Treatment
Optic neuritis is the inflammation of the optic nerve. This condition is most common among patients who suffer from multiple sclerosis, although anyone might develop the condition. Its prevalence is greater among the elder population, although cases of young people who suffer from optic neuritis are well documented.

Symptoms
The symptoms include blurry vision, loss of vision, foggy vision and pain of movement in the affected eye.
Treatment
This condition generally goes away on its own after 8-10 weeks, although in certain cases (such as when the patient suffers from multiple sclerosis), the loss of vision might occur gradually and recovery might never happen.
